As a composer for Television Robert's credits are numerous and include over 200 well known Commercials such as – J.R. Hartley/Yellow Pages, Nat West, Mitsubishi, BMW, Morrisons, Persil, Harveys, Kellogs, Braun, Johnsons, Singapore Airlines, Toyota, Telecom, Scottish Widows and many more.

He has composed music for over 30 Documentary and Factual films, including USA 2000 BBC Bafta Winner, Kings & Queens of Britain ITV 1, Voyage Channel 4 – 37 part Travelogue series, Flight 93 9/11/ ITV,  Tonight with Trevor McDonald / ITV, Mary, Queen of Scots / ITN, Isaac Newton - The Dark Heretic BBC, Secrets of Britain’s Castles / ITN, The Gulf War / ITN , Wild About Chelsea CH 4, House Doctor CH 5 and many films for Dispatches, Secret History and Cutting Edge for Channel 4.

In addition, he has scored many favourite Schools TV series for the BBC, such as Watch, Words & Pictures, Quinze Minutes, France Francais, Investigating Science, The Geography Program, Treffpunkt Osterreich, In The Know and Tutorial Topics. Also for Channel 4, the 40 part series Starmaths, composed with John Stafford.

He is also active as a composer of Library Music, writing over 40 CDs for EMI/KPM in a wide variety of  musical styles from classical to contemporary, encompassing jazz and world fusion. His Library Music appears in many Film soundtracks such as Bridget Jones – The Edge of Reason, Lethal Weapon 4 and Ever After a Cinderella, starring Drew Barrymore. Recent releases include “Café Surreal” for KPM and “Tastes of the World” for Juice Music.

Current TV projects include a series of networked commercials for Morrisons and Chessington World of Adventures and titles music for the BBC1 series “Country  Tracks”. In addition Robert has recently composed music for 2 Film Trailers – Hapkido and Rodeo Express for the Weinstein Company.

He has written 2 performed stage musicals – Outremer (Exeter Festival) and The Poet’s Song (Louth Festival) and is at work on a third at present. Concert music includes a Triple Violin Concerto, several Chamber Works, solo piano and guitar music and a Choral Symphony “On Seas Less Hideously Serene”.

Robert is also a well known International guitarist and lutenist. In this capacity his work has taken him through fields as diverse as Elton John’s Band, Simon Rattle and the CBSO, Michael Crawford, West End Theatre and Early Music groups Fretwork and The City Waites. However, it is as a soloist he is best known, playing lutes and guitars in Festivals such as Chichester, Harrogate, Newbury, Lincoln, Bishop Auckland (concerto soloist), Cambridge and The South Bank/QEH. He has broadcast on Classic FM & BBC Radio 3. Robert appeared as soloist at this year’s Tolmen International Guitar Symposium. He is a member of the acoustic band “Wytchazle”.
